The drone swarm quest is not registered as done despite me killing all active, hostile drones in the indicated area

So, I took out all the drones in the area in the circle, to include but is not limited to, the group of drones to the north, the group to the south, the group in the around and inside the walled area. All of them are dead. The drones were able to summon 1 group of reinforcements. But there is still a group left, but inactive, non-hostile, and still in their tubes. I cannot find anymore drones in the area, yes I looked every where. I've tried leading enemies to the area to see if I can trigger it, but they don't following me far enough. I also have the dumb trait, and I just so happen to have locked myself out of hacking, science, engineering, and lockpicking. So I cant come back later to it. There are no save files saved before my attempt to takedown the drones and I didn't realize it was bugged until well later on.

I have tried mods, using console commands to, unsuccessfully give myself the perks needed to complete the quest. I've also tried downloading a character editor mod, but the only mod that worked was the one allowing me to use console commands. The mods not working correctly is most likely user error, but the fact remains that in the vanilla game, I am soft-locked from finishing the quest.

The rest of the game is fine tho
