This companion quest fails to update if you have to resolve it violently because killing the junior arbiter does not update the quest (the marker stays above her body and the quest state remains the same).

Looks like this can be resolved by quicksaving at the top of the elevator and finishing the entire encounter in one go. If you load a save after having entered the room, one of the turrets in the back will sometimes not spawn in and breaks the quest.
