tlock99 Posted yesterday at 07:05 AM Posted yesterday at 07:05 AM I wish these were in the main game. I'm sure it's hard to do, especially with the war and territory systems, but I think it would add more depth and fun. Base Defense Systems: 1. Fortifications: Players can build their bases with strong defenses, like rigid walls made from hardened clay or upgraded grass. They help fortify bases to fend off insect invasions. 2. Traps: Like spike pits, snare traps, and even chemical deterrents. 3. Turrets and Defenses: Friendly spiders help make web traps to slow down enemies, while wasp stingers could be used in a turret that fires projectiles! 4. Alarm Systems: This could raise the stakes and make things more immersive with flashing lights or sound alarms to get your heart racing. Dynamic War/Territorial System: 1. Insect Factions: Introducing different insect factions with their own quirks and behaviors. For example, red ants could be super aggressive and territorial, while black ants might play it safe and protect their colonies. 2. Territory Control: Insects could have their own territory where they guard their nests and resources. You might encounter rival factions when one group steps into another’s turf, leading to skirmishes. 3. Rituals and Nest Raids: A system where factions raid each other for resources or eggs (Like how ants work). Players could develop defense strategies to counter these raids or even strike temporary alliances with certain AI factions, and teaming up with certain factions will lead to increased attacks from other insects. 4. Ant Queen Mechanics: Each faction could have a queen, targeted by players to throw the enemy colony into chaos. Taking out a queen would seriously change how that faction behaves, either ramping up aggression or causing a full retreat. 5. Dynamic Events: Add environmental events like rain or temperature shifts that mess with insect behavior and alliances. For instance, a downpour might drive insects to seek shelter, flipping their territory dynamics on their heads.
