Can't play Multiplayer without gamepass

I bought the game for $30 to AVOID paying monthly for gamepass because I'm tired of having to shell out $25 every month for only 3 games...so I tried outright buying grounded so I could play it with my wife...all to find out I cant play multiplayer lobbies without getting gamepass... which in my opinion is really stupid ..there are plenty of games that allow you to play multiplayer through WIFI alone..as long as you have the game and wifi you can play..I shouldnt need to pay for gamepass just to play online for a game simpler than...Apex, Overwatch, Fragpunk which all allow free to play online gaming as long as you own the game..If i outright bought the "full" game of grounded 2 I should be allowed that same privilege of online ..I have wifi ..please make this a possibility. I shouldn't need to shell out $25 a month just to fight a bug with my wife..MAYBE once a week after work
