Hi there,

I searched the forums but haven't seen this mentioned yet. Maybe I didn't search hard enough, if so, I apologise.

When you're riding your buggy too close to the ice area, you suddenly jump off the buggy because it's too cold.

Not only that, the buggy completely disappears. Somehow, it gets cold feet and manages to teleport back home.

I get the "oh it's cold, you can't ride it" part. But I don't get why, without warning, the buggy just disappears. Leaving the player to fend for itself.

I love Grounded 2 so far, but this had me die (and rage quit) on several occasions.

To improve this experience, I can see the buggy jump back as soon as it touches the ice, keeping the rider in the saddle. Or, launch the rider off the buggy, but keep the buggy at the edge of the ice so you can jump back on and ride around if needed.

Thanks!
Thy

I wonder if this is the current default to handle if you entered the biome further in from the edge (from above) as the buggy would not be able to stay where the dismount was triggered.

It could bolt for the nearest non-ice area but I don’t know that would be any better.

If you are on the edge of the biome it would be convenient for the buggy to act like you are approaching a lab door.

You can call again your pet using the buggy wheel.
Press the call buggy and maintain a few seconds and a wheel with all your buggies will appear, choose your pet and they will arrive in a few seconds.
You can use it to change your buggie without going to their nest.

Thanks for both of your replies.

That is true and I did this, but it takes 8 seconds for the buggy to arrive. That indicates that the buggy is nowhere near where you are. Because 8cm in the game is a long way for us 😉

Like Alynxkia suggested, bolting for the nearest non ice area (which is 1 step back really) or behaving like a lab door would make sense.

Disappearing into thin air and taking 8 seconds to reappear, does not make sense.

This seems to happen when the detection for the 'no go' area happens late or at an awkward angle or otherwise in a way that the buggy is considered just in a completely invalid location. I have had dismounts by the icecream cart that didn't despawn the buggy, they just sat down and waited for me to come out, and I've also had the buggy completely despawn sometimes when approaching a station door or cave at sharper angles. Having to wait for the travel time for them to return is kinda rude but it at least doesn't put them on the full 1 minute timer of sending them home manually. ((Which I imagine is going to get a lot worse as the park gets bigger....)
