August 9, 2025Aug 9 Hello, I bought Grounded 2 on steam, on launch day, but when I try to host or join a multiplayer game, I end up in an endless loading screen. After the update 1.2 was released, I tried hosting and joining a game again, and this time it asked me to choose steam or crossplay, and when I pick crossplay, it tells me to install gameservices.. Which is already installed, and I have already tried reinstalling, and repairing and nothing changes.. trying to play through Steam only continues to give me a never ending load screen. So, I tried launching on xbox game pass with a free trial, and the game immediately crashes on startup with this message LoginId:432a25474c98775f01100a9f55807ddf EpicAccountId:71c0c097cc23463fb077685530fa3826 LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\Projects\Augusta\Engine\Platforms\WinGDK\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\WinGDKPlatformMisc.cpp] [Line: 14] GDK runtime is not available Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping Grounded2_WinGDK_Shipping kernel32 ntdll Not sure if it's of any note, but where it says File:D:\ I do not have any drive installed other than a C drive.. Not sure if that's a problem or not.. Also I can play Grounded 1 crossplay no problem, so it seems strange Grounded 2 would have an issue... Would love any help I can get!
August 17, 2025Aug 17 I have the same exact issue. Not sure what's going on... The D:\ thing seems to be just the debug symbols where they built the game. Have you ever found a solution?
August 19, 2025Aug 19 Hello everyone, Last Tuesday (August 12, 2025), I had an update for Grounded 2, and since then, I can't find my girlfriend's game score or my friends. I updated XBOX Games Pass and the app and tried everything I could think of. I can't find the game we played together before, nor the friends who are also in the game score. My friends have no problem finding the game. Do you have any tips?
September 19, 2025Sep 19 Still having problems with this, tried installing GDK itself from github. Uninstalled and reinstalled gaming services, tried deleting the augusta folder, updated windows, can't get it to work.
September 19, 2025Sep 19 My friend also still cannot open the game for this exact reason as of today, September 18th, which is worse than before where he could at least open the game but not play it. Is there a resolution in the works????
September 19, 2025Sep 19 I've never been able to log into my Xbox account on one of my PCs. To this day, it insists I need to have Xbox Gaming Services installed when I already do and have re-installed them multiple times. Devs have yet to acknowledge that anyone is facing this issue, to my knowledge. When they updated to introduce a "path" for users to sign into Xbox, all they did was add a pop-up telling people to install Gaming Services when they already have. Sucks, big time.
