Is it possible to introduce a way to mark/favourite items so they are not hot deposited into storage when using this facility, such a bandages/arrows.

Hot deposit is useful for storing resources quickly but then I have to pick up bandages/arrows/tufts again.

While I do agree having a favourite button would be -awesome-, you can achieve a similar effect by turning off the Bandage/Arrow/Tuft box from accepting Quick Deposit at the bottom of its UI. This would mean that box would essentially have to be dedicated to JUST being the 'exploration supplies' box, but that's not a terrible idea anyway.

I like the favorite idea if it keeps the location of those items upon looting your corpse.  I have dedicated spots for some items like trinket top left for fast swapping.  When you die you always have to shuffle things back around.  It's a minor inconvience but would be nice if it was solvable.

Along the same vein, I would really like to be able to keep items on my Buggy when I hot deposit. I keep a certain number of basic items, like rocks, clover, etc., on my Buggy, and when I hot deposit they all disappear and have to be added again. It takes forever to get ready to head out into the wilds.
