Can't use multiplayer at all on Steam

I've tried everything I know to be able to play multiplayer grounded 2 on steam which I purchased day one and founders edition. I get this message every time I try to play multiplayer that's in the image attached. I don't know what to do to play the game with multiplayer. I have no issues playing the game on my pc on the xbox app what so ever it's only when I boot up the game through my steam account.... I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!!!!

    Configure browser push notifications
    Chrome (Android)
    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
    2. Select Site settings.
    3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
