So my back pack on 2 occasions has glitched outside the map boundaries. How can I rectify this?

Yes my backpack as well and my sons who is playing with me. We cannot get to them! How can we get them back?

Same here.  I just died to a Wolf Spider in the bottom left corner of the map and my backpack is now unrecoverable.

As far as I know, the only way to get your backpack from unreachable areas is to use the Recover Backpack option under the Game Repair. You can only do it once per save load so if it happens again you'll have to reload a save.

Yes this is the best thing they have done. This works on multiple dropped backpacks too.
