Red spray316 Posted Saturday at 08:00 AM Posted Saturday at 08:00 AM I wanted to harvest resources at the start of a new game, so I immediately think: pebblet axe or, pebblet hammer. I go into the crafting menu on the new SCAB.B 2K and see no option for the most basic tool ever. Instead I have to use a weird looking thing called an omni tool. To use it, I have to press (instead of the right trigger like any of the weapons) the X button, which feels completely wrong. 1 1
NannaPancakes Posted Sunday at 01:13 AM Posted Sunday at 01:13 AM I am really happy with the tool and not needing to take up a bunch of inventory slots.

Jamie Bowser Posted Sunday at 11:23 PM Posted Sunday at 11:23 PM I also love the Omni tool, it’s nice to have that extra space in my inventory.
apoisonedgift Posted Monday at 12:19 AM Posted Monday at 12:19 AM I'm happy with the omni tool giving me more inventory space. Having it all combined into one tool is fine. But I do dislike that we aren't choosing to use it and instead just hold down a button. It leads to a lot of issues IMO
Alynxkia Posted Tuesday at 02:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:03 PM (edited) I don’t like how it auto-activates or auto-deactivates as that has resulted in problems for me when I want to harvest something that’s near a grass blade or some other harvestable resource that uses the omni tool or when my buggy keeps walking in front of me. I want to be able to choose to use it rather than having it try to be automatic. I’m OK with it taking up an existing hotbar slot if it needs to or a special additional hot bar spot. I get that a lot of players are enjoying it just as it is so perhaps this can be one of the features we can choose to have on or off. Edited yesterday at 03:31 AM by Alynxkia 1
MotionlessChris Posted yesterday at 04:24 AM Posted yesterday at 04:24 AM For xbox players having issues with the omni tool being the X button, I found a work around with the Elite Controller and using one of the paddles. Have a single paddle assign for "E", then in the game unbind the omni tool from X to use the paddle to chop/break items.
