Keybinds will not save. It doesn't just happen when you close the game, it happens if you are in a world and then quit to main menu. I've tried changing the keybinds while in the main menu, or while I have a world loaded, and it will not save the keybinds past that current session.

Just for more information, if I change keybinds from main menu, and start a world, it allows those keybinds to work until I quit to main menu again. At that point if I visually check keybinds in the main menu I can confirm they have reset, or if I just go back into a world without looking, my keybinds will all be reset.

Silly little bug but probably annoying for tons of people, priority fix on this one would be sweet!

Agreed! The only thing that saves are my hotkey rebinds. Everything else resets.

same issue it is very annoying and still no fix for this yet.... well, I guess I will move on to something else.

I am also having this issue, having dodge on control is a pain. Reampping to my M4 is a must.

Same, rebind is a mess, and cannot go forward while building because I have an AZERTY keyboard. This shouldn't happen in 2025

Yep. Having the same issue here. Taking time to make new keybinds and then having to do it again on every login is a bit rough.

I have been having this happen.  I'm playing it from the PC GamePass.
I had to go find both .exe files for the game and set both to always run as administrator in order to save keybinds (probably only needed one but wanted to be sure).

Of course this won't help anyone on an Xbox, but this does seem to be some sort of permissions problem. I don't know why it's pulling this.

same issue. I sent in an email to them but nothing for a fix yet pretty annoying for sure....

Also same issue...this game has more bugs as bugs...annoying...

i think everyone that wants their settings to be changes has this issue.

i saw a solution with changing a file to read only and hiding it, but i cant replicate that myself.

what i sadly also dont see is it being looked at by obsidian themselves on their community issue board...

Keys not be able te remap is most of the time a game breaker for me because i cant play with the keys the "Devs choose"..  Im missing the pet rebind keys like gathermode (known issue)..  

I rather crash every hour then not be able to remap all my keys.. SO I hope this one gets priority.. should be an easy fix

solved it i added american keyboard to my pc config and now i switch with holding windows key and hitting spacebar choosing english american keyboard when playing and i do it again if i want to use my pc 

To add a keyboard layout in Windows, navigate to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region. Under "Preferred languages," select the language you want to add the layout for, then choose "Options." Select "Add a keyboard" and choose the specific layout from the list.
