Bugs:

1. Lag, especially with multiplayer. The host is fine, but whoever joins has a lot of hitching and fps issues.

2. Multiplayer issues in general. I had a save made, but when I invited my friend, it said the save was no longer available.

3. Respawning. Pressed respawn after dying and was stuck staring at the world. When pressing escape it said: "Can't save: no player character found"

Feedback:

1. I enjoyed having the freedom to choose what goes on my hotbar

2. At the very least, I NEED to be able to scroll through my hotbar, I can't do the numbers.

3. I don't see the point in making the axe, hammer, and shovel "easier". I liked having it and being able to hit the grass instead of just sitting and holding E. Might just be a personal preference.

4. In conclusion, I just liked a lot of the features in Grounded... if you kept everything in grounded and just changed the map and story, and added these new features like riding bugs, I would've been fine lol. Just my opinion.

LOVING the game so far, here's things I've noticed

Bugs:

-I keep getting clover and gnats disappearing under the ground, and trhe clover especially likes to slide forever on seemingly flat ground.

Feedback:

-strafe speed seems a little low/ movement isn't as polised as G1 yet.

-Holding E on the omnitool is less than satisfying compared to OG tools. I'd like to be able to manaully swing the toold with clicks.

-Very much not a fan of the crafting wheel, I miss being able to pick from the full list of building menu items.

-Parry timing seems a little late vs. the enemy animations (possible skill issue)

Lag is definitely a problem. I was trying out the new option to have a save anyone can access even when I’m not on to host but oh boy we had to take a break and go play OG Grounded again because of lag. Even as host on Steam I had lag. Oh and some of the items were falling below the ground occasionally.

However! With what I saw as upgrades to the original in terms of tool use, enemies and such, I was extremely pleased with the direction they are taking the sequel.

Honestly because of the studio’s history I’m way more confident in seeing these things fixed than I would be with things made by others. They have a good track record.

One thing I forgot to mention is I do kinda miss just swinging to take down grass with an attack click, but I also think leaving the hold “e” in the accessibility options instead would be good in case some people are prone to hand cramps!

Not sure what is going on if its the game or me, I assume the game because it works fine with every game except this one. When I throw my spear it works 1 or 2 times then its like the button RB on my controller unassigns itself and won't let me use it to throw anymore. I have restarted the game, and everytime it does this I have to save and load if i want my throw button to work again. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Crafted any club, game crashes to Xbox home screen. Reload game and when loading multiplayer game saves it crashes again.

Ant* club, game crashes and saves won't load. Single or multiplayer saves loading cause game crash

Loaded into friends world after leaving yesterday and my buggy won't spawn in even after I try to call it in.

Craft "ant hill" then you can recall your buggy. I had the same problem but this fixed it

There needs to be a better way of handling failing the "A Strange Warning":
The 'dial' that gives you the countdown doesn't really give you any meaning; especially when the time between warnings seems to decrease.
if you're going to have a dial, there must be some way of understanding what it means.  with health: you get hit and you get an idea of what it does.  Stamina, run a bit.  but the countdown timer? just randomly shows up with no real way to understand that you don't have 10 minutes, you have 2, or then opposite.  The first warning, i stood next to my acorn turret, surrouneded by spikes and _nothing_ happens.  then t here is another one. and.... _nothing_ happens.  annnnd then there is another one... and then 1 minute later you'r attacked. (or 2, or 5,  I have no idea, but if felt significantly shorter than the prior ones.)

Bug report:

I'm stuck in the walls:

I called my ant, Steve, to me as I was exiting the ominant lab/facitlity to the north east edge of the map (where the statue is, the garden facility).
I wasn't paying attention, and Steve (poor steve) was trapped in a wall.  And i got on top of him.  Then i was stuck.  Then i died of dehydration.
Immurement   is a horrible way to go.

I heavily agree with point NO.3

Hi, It would be super awesome if equipped items were ignored by the hot pocket option. I keep a couple of extra canteens in storage and every time i use the option i have to dig into a chest to get it back. I now only use the one chest i keep them in to so that I dont have to go hunting it down lol

I have to be the dissenting voce against people saying they don't like the omni tool. The omni tool rules. You still perform the satisfying chopping animations, the literal only difference is that you hold E. Frankly, people wanting to click for the exact same result is not worth losing the extra room on my hotbar or the hassle of having to repair tools.

My ant mount is too needy.  Any time I need to "E" to do an activity (dig, pick up, break things), my ant must constantly put its nose in my way and force me to mount it.  Its like a needy puppy, I can't get anything done.  The ant really should try to keep a little distance so its not blocking me from doing other things.

I died 3 times yesterday and each time, my backpack was below the surface.  Once I could see it 3 cm down.  Another time I stood right over it and looking down, didn't get a distance.  the 3rd time, it moved to the starting location by itself but still inaccessible.  In none of these did I die on a strange surface where the location of the backpack should have been in question.

In all 3 instances, I did a game restore and the backpacks moved to the starting location but were still inaccessible.  I then quit and reloaded and *then* they were on the surface and accessible.

I'm playing single player in a hosted multiplayer game.  Not sure if that matters.  Interestingly, I've never had troubles with my backpack when other players were in my game.

Omni tool feedback.  I like having the tool being abstract better.  I didn't like having to carry around (and pointlessly repair) 4 tools, 6 weapons and consumables.  The tools used too much inventory.  Repairing the wrench (over and over) while repairing my hard-built house is disheartening.  The omni tool makes that a little less painful.

However, I don't like is so much activity tied to the E button where I don't have enough control.  I'm chopping grass even though I'm trying to pick up an item.  I'm mounting my ant even though I'm trying to bust a tooth.  Nothing catastrophic but it keeps happening.

Unfortunately, I don't have a suggested solution.  I'll experiment with remapping the omni tool to another key.

Smaller bugs and feedback:

Sorting.  I can't get sorting in my inventory to work when I have a chest open.  Pressing the sort button or key do nothing.  I can't get sorting in chests to work at all.

If I open a drying rack, "w" isn't an option unless I also have an empty slot selected in my inventory.  The default is that the upper level square is selected, so if there is something there, I have to manually select an empty slot for "w" to work.  It really should have the same behavior as looting a corpse... merge with existing items or take the next slot.

I really need multiple hotbars, like Grounded 1.  One hotbar for weapons, one for consumables.  I never really needed the 3rd, but it was handy to swap armor or trinkets.  A single hot bar doesn't cut it.

The hotbar should show and be accessible when mounted.  I shouldn't have to dismount or use the inventory to eat shrooms or light a torch.

I've noticed several times that if I use the mouse to click a button in the inventory, the escape keyboard key no longer escapes the dialog.  I can click the on screen escape button though.

I agree with a previous poster that I should be able to lock some inventory items.  I'm able to manage items like mushrooms and arrows (and weapons 😛 ) by only storing them in chests that don't hot-sort.  But I like to keep a stack of clover for making markers without it getting sucked off me when I click "n".
