I cannot finish Outer Worlds.

The elevator on the 3rd floor of the Pits will not open.

I have been warned that landing on Tartarus will prohibit me from using a save to go back into the game.

Getting to the above-mentioned elevator takes time and I have restarted that effort multiple times without success.

Some additional facts:

   Murder on Eridanos

                                    Main Quest - Brave New World

                                    Confront Phineas

                                    Tartarus

                                    Story mode - Level 39

                              I've played this game over a couple of years and I'm not sure but I believe the elevator might have                           worked earlier in my efforts.
