The Finer Things in Battle Still Bugged

I had progressed in the game past turning in An Untimely End that this side quest is tied to and realized I missed it. I reloaded an old save and still can't get "The Finer Things in Battle" to trigger no matter what I try. I am assuming this is because I have already upgraded my equipment. It seems this bug wasn't addressed in the update today. I am really enjoying the game but I will hold off on playing it from either of my saves until this is addressed. I will definitely do multiple play-throughs but I don't want to have to worry about getting all side quests in future play-throughs for 100% because of this bug.

Still can't get this either on series x. Have a save where I mapped and completed the entire first zone and have fine gear before helping the apothecary and it doesn't load the quest.  Loaded and older save from before the bear where I have no fine gear but a common weapon plus 3 and ran right to the apothecary and still nothing. 

Would prefer to keep my first save and still get this quest to actually load up.  Being punished for exploring the map and gearing up just feels wrong.  Not playing more until this is fixed even though I was really enjoying it.

Same here. I hope them fix this soon, but i didn't find it in the known issues list, so i don't know if developers are looking for it right now.

It not being in the known issues list is why I made an account and will be paying attention to every patch.  I want my 100% path of the damned playthrough to work.  Can't 100% without this though getting fixed.

I sent a support ticket to obsidian, I recommend you do the same.

I did all the side quests and when it came time to complete the main quest and help the apothecary, this sidequest doesn't appear for me.

I did everything possible: I went back a save before, put away all the equipment and faced Thalla with weak level 1 equipment and even so the sidequest doesn't start.

I'm going to take a break from the game until they fix this sidequest, when they fix it, I'll play again. I don't want to lose my 100% progression.

I can confirm that today, the game has been updated, and the sidequest has appeared on my list of completed quests. Now I can go back to Eora and continue my progress. Thank you to everyone who submitted reports and especially the support team who gave us so much support.

Edit: patched as of 3/13/2024 update. It seems the quest will retroactively complete, so this won’t get in the way of the Pentiment achievement now. Even Armor Fit For the Wilds is now in my quest book again. Previously on this update, I didn’t complete the Armor Fit For the Wilds mission before advancing to the second region and it was removed from my quest book. Seems that is not the case anymore. I did submit a ticket addressing these bugs February 21st. Glad to see it updated.
