I was enjoying the game using game pass, put in around 13h, so I decided to purchase it through the Microsoft store. After making the purchase and starting the game my old save data was gone...

So after mourning my loss I just decided to start a new game. But now when while walking through tutorial island, I keep getting the error "Unable to save game". I receive the same error when trying to manually save too.

I saw on another post someone had to create the folder "%userprofile%\Saved Games\Avowed" but I have already tried this and it hasn't worked. I have also tried reinstalling the game but continue to get the same error.

Im having the same issue cant find my saves either no matter what i do

I have found a fix that worked for me!

I had to delete the folder:
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Avowed_8wekyb3d8bbwe

I also had to delete the file:
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\B9ECED6F.ArmouryCrate_qmba6cd70vzyy\LocalState\AC_FDS\UWPInfo\Microsoft.Avowed.uwpinfo

Then repair game files.
