mathyou Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I have the PC Game Pass version of Avowed downloaded on my PC and have a few save files. However, when I load the Xbox Game Pass version on my Series X, I'm greeted with the error: "Your other Xbox console is taking a long time to sync to the cloud. On this Xbox console, do you want to sync the last saved data we have in the cloud? This will cancel your other sync. To have us check if the other Xbox console has finished syncing, choose 'try again'." Selecting 'try again' just reloads the error prompt while choosing 'sync last saved data' launches the game but only shows me old save files from my PC that I've actually since deleted. It does not show either of my current PC save files. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround? I pivot between my PC and my Series X frequently and it would be disappointing for the play anywhere functionality to not work as intended.
TheGeminii Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Have a similar issue. Only the other way around. Started playing on PC, could load the save game on Xbox, played some more on Xbox, saved the game on xbox, went back to PC, now get this message:
TheGeminii Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Fixed it for me at least. On PC make sure the following services are running (put them on automatic if they are not)
mathyou Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Great find, thanks! I'll give this a shot later to see if it works.

Not sure why these services hadn't automatically started (save game syncing used to work, maybe the 24H2 update broke it), but starting these and setting them to automatic with delay, and then restarting the game, fixed the issue. Now my Avowed saves are correctly syncing between PC and Xbox Series X. Hopefully this solution will get bumped up in Google search results. Thank you!
