The panning in this game is extremely jarring, basically the controller quickly goes from slow panning movement to fast panning movement, the result is that it feels like you’re moving underwater and it’s very unwieldy.

This can easily be a toggle and will make it far more enjoyable to play, as I can’t think of any other first person game that has had this amount of acceleration baked in by default. It’s a beautiful game and I really want to get into it, but I’m struggling when it is jarring just to explore because the look acceleration is so extreme.

I really cannot agree more with this.
The acceleration is absolutely awful and needs to either have a customisation option or simply provide a toggle to turn the built-in acceleration on/off at a menu level.
The current implementation is extremely poor.

Made an account just for this. I have been looking forward to Avowed ever since I first saw it announced two, three, four years ago? Finally, it's here! Created my character. Watched intro movie. Omgthisisgonnabegreat. Played it for five minutes. Turned it off. I was literally starting to get queasy.

I cannot stress enough how horrible these right stick controls feel. PLEASE give us the options we need to calibrate the settings. I don't understand how these default settings ever made it into the game, let alone why they are uneditable. But this ridiculous snail's crawl followed by the mother of all spikes in look acceleration is playing absolute havoc with my senses.

why??? how??? how do you ship a game with controls feeling this bad, maybe im sensitive to this stuff but for me it is literally unplayable in its current state. trully bizzare. will give the game a go if this ever gets fixed, played on gamepass so whatever, would be pissed if i’d payed full price
