I'm a bit confused, have I missed something here?

Ultra-wide Support

Immerse yourself in the sprawling landscapes of the Living Lands like never before. With support for ultra-wide 21:9 displays, Avowed offers a cinematic, panoramic experience that expands your field of view. Take in the scale of towering mountains, vast grass-filled fields, and ancient ruins, all crafted to make every moment feel epic and unforgettable.

The game claims to have ultra-wide(21:9) support however the dialogues look like the attached image.

Unfortunately it's quite immersion breaking and annoying, is this just bugged and will be fixed, or is there not actually ultra-wide support as claimed?

I'm getting 2560x1440 but my monitor is Windows resolution is set to 3440x1440 and I can't seem to change it.  Also, all I'm getting borderless full screen as an option so I can't change my resolution in game.

To change to 3440x1440, you need to change to "Windowed" -> Change resolution to 3440x1440(21:9) and save changes, then you can swap back to borderless fullscreen.

Unfortunately, still don't get true ultra-wide, as the dialogues and cinematics add black boxes/edges, so I suppose there's something bugged with the ultra-wide support?

The cinematics seem intentional as there is a type of graphic instead of black bars. The dialogue screens need fixing. The black bars popping in an out are immersion breaking and odd in a brand new game.

It's also weird that the graphics settings won't let us use our true resolution for full screen. We shouldn't have to use mods to get standard features.
