When starting the game on "Veteran" or higher difficulty, AI behavior for party members is severely broken. Although the default AI behavior preset is displayed as "Aggressive," party members act as if it’s set to "Passive," remaining completely inactive in combat.
If I try to manually change the AI behavior preset to any other, the system starts behaving erratically. Switching between party members in the AI behavior interface reveals that the preset randomly resets to "Passive" for different characters, regardless of the chosen setting. Even if the interface shows "Aggressive" for some members upon closing the menu, in combat all characters still behave as "Passive."
Through testing, I found this issue only occurs on difficulties above "Classic." On "Classic," AI behavior functions as expected. However, starting a game on "Veteran" (or above) triggers the issue immediately, and switching to "Classic" mid-game doesn’t fix it. Similarly, starting on "Classic" and then increasing the difficulty later breaks the AI behavior again.
Is this a known issue? Has anyone found a solution?
