When i load the File on MP it started as a new game it overwrites the old one and replaced it with a new game, my save file is more that 2 years old i don't want to lose that file i hope i can still recover it and play it

I'm having the same issue. I just failed my first attempt at the Infected Broodmother while streaming (I have the vod for evidence, but need to convert it to a smaller size to post). I went to reload the save of my MP world from the "you died" screen and it started from the beginning. I tried reloading from a backup and got the image attached. Verified game files. Rebooted the game and steam. No luck. Everything starts from the beginning without any of the 160+ in game days progress I had. This is all a cloud synced, MP world, on steam. Any input would be appreciated.

I've had the same issue twice. This happened about a week ago for my friend and I. When you try to reload boss fights the save file corrupts. It turns white and entirely starts a new game. A few days ago we looked up this issue trying to see if anyone else had information and we just took it as a loss and made all our progess back. But going to fight yet another boss, it seems that if you die during the boss fight (even if you respawn after) the save file corrupts the second you leave the game. Aka, shut down that world and try and reload a previous save. The auto-save of the death I feel like is cauing the issue. This is the second time dying during a boss fight had corrupted our 200+ day world, 130+ hours. I try and make backup worlds to save our progress but when you're going to fight a boss you think saving would be enough. I am sorry to hear this is happening to other people, I've contacted support and I'll post again here when I get an update. 

PS. The image below is what the save file will look like after the boss fight when you try and reload after the game has magially created a new world and restarted you. This is the old save file we tried reloading after our first attempt at the infected broodmother. This first happened with the mantis for us, and is the second time now. I have concluded that if you die during the boss fight and try and reload to before when you were prepared the save file DOES corrupt and all of the backup save files DISAPPEAR.

Me and my friends are expieriencing the same issues currently. Made a backup for the Wasp Queen fight and went to the backup after losing only to figure out that our world had been restarted. Has anyone had any luck getting their old world back?
