I think it'd be cool to have a days survived counter in your menu (maybe under Data) and something like a special icon for not having died yet at the top next to the energy/water/hunter/HP icons. A full on Hardcore mode where it deletes your character probably doesn't really fit this game very well, but tracking whether or not you have died once, and how long ago it was that you've died would be a cool addition in my humble opinion. I added an example of a poorly done 0 deaths icon (Obsidians art team can come with with something cooler, they're being paid for that anyway 😂)
