Xbox Multiplayer Person Can't Host or Join

I’ve been having fun playing the game with my friends online. However, my boyfriend is unable to join or host a multiplayer game.

He uses a mobile hotspot and is able to play other multiplayer games just fine (ex. Apex Legends, Dead by Daylight, Dragonball Xenoverse 2). On top of that, our friend uses a hotspot and has Xbox one is able to join. 

I’ve been dying to play in a game with him, but have been unable to because every time he tries he either gets a “Unable to join server” error, or cant host or his game crashes. Single player works fine however. Anyone else have this problem?

Configure browser push notifications
