Need Help Fixing Missing Burg.L

Hi all - Need some help. I'm running a multiplayer server, and it's been a blast. That said, Burg.L has disappeared for us. We accepted his quest, had some adventures, came back and he just wasn't there. 

I know this is a known issue, and so I was looking for a solution. I found a recommendation to use Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker and summon Burg.L, which does work. However, when I try to give him a chip, the game crashes. Has anyone attempted this fix before and found a way to make it work?

Failing that, what would be the best way to recreate the world my friends are playing in? Can I start a map in creative, for example, rebuild all their stuff, and then switch it to Medium difficulty and reshare? We'd need to do the quests again, yes, but at least all their effort won't be lost.

Same thing happened to me but I was playing solo on xbox.
