I just DLed and patched the homestretch update, and after logging into the game, there are no more weevils.  Im finding weevil meat all over the place, but no more live weevils.  Been running around for an hour, nothing.  There are ants everywhere, however.  Pretty sure they committed weevilcide.

 

EDIT: In second multiplayer game, no weevils here either.
