Audio issues with the World Map

I have an issue on the world map: in dialogue, walking, naval combat, sailing, etc, my audio completely breaks down and starts to crackle and pop. I am playing on bootcamp on a macbook pro, with fully updated OSX. Its not an issue with my speakers as far as I can tell, since being on the world map is the only time this issue actually ends up happening. In fact, when I leave the world map and enter areas, this issue completely stops.

I have seen others complain about this in several other post, but no answer has been given. I've verified my files and uninstalled/reinstalled the game, but nothing stops the problem. Does anyone have any way that they can help me?

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
