Same old problem with the Defiance Bay faction quests.

HELP.

I ever-so-blissfully did not know about this issue in my first playthrough, but this time I stupidly accepted the Dozens quest before going to the Crucible guys for the animat follow-up. Now, I am stuck in a quest for a faction I desperately don't want to back, whose rewards (for me) suck ass, and which I cannot even complete because the game soft-crashes to the main menu whenever I enter the Dozens' HQ with the Engwithan weapons.

I've scoured for ways to revert this catastrophe, but the save editor is dead outdated, editing the quest files to reset the quest state didn't work, and I don't even know what could possibly work now. All I have is a save where my quest state is 1, aka haven't met the other stupid mercs yet.

Please help. Please let there be a way, any way, aside starting another game.

Otherwise I'll cheat the rewards from the Crucible quest (I refuse to give 'em up) and go to the Duc's hearing with the Dunryds.

 

HOW COULD I KNOW THAT MISSION WOULD LOCK ME OUT OF THE CRUCIBLE >:(((( THEIR FIRST ANIMAT MISSION SURE DIDN'T LOCK ME OUT OF THE DOZENS GODDAMNIT
