Argensis Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 (edited) Hi, I purchased The Outer Worlds on Steam today, with the DLC in the "Non-Mandatory Corporate-Sponsored Bundle". It crashed while navigating the settings menu within 5 minutes of first launch. When I try to start a new game, the cutscene starts panning across the halycon advertisment and a voiceover starts, but the panning stops suddenly. The audio plays for maybe a minute more, I hear a guy narrating about keeping the people in orbit. Then the game just stops doing anything and I have no control. My system has a r9 5900x and GTX 1080, with 32GB of RAM, so it should be more than technically capable of playing the game. I have Windows 10 Pro update 2004 and the 466.27 nvidia drivers. The known issues thread doesn't appear to link out to any issues or info on where to get a crash dump etc. I can see inthe steam browse local files option that the game is called Indiana internally, and I do see an AppData/local/Indiana/Logs folder, but it is empty. Any advice in debugging or fixing this woud be appreciated Edited July 18, 2021 by Argensis Clarify OS/driver verisons
