Pillars 2 crash on launch - please help.

Hi, I just purchased Pillars 2 on sale and it is actually crashing on startup. It appears to be trying to access virtual memory for which it doesn't have appropriate access. I have verified the game cache, closed all other apps, updated drivers, the usual. I also temporarily disabled windows defender -- no dice. If someone from Obsidian support team could have a look at my crash logs I would appreciate it.crash.dmpoutput_log.txterror.log

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
