Im having the same issue on the xbox. If I select the scaffold or door for example, it freezes then crashes but yet I can build other things.

I'm having the same issue on my Xbox One X as well.

It crashes when i try to build base building materials. Building a Workbench works fine.

I've tried multiple saves (start new game) and i'm having this issue every time. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. I'm 5 hours into the game and i'm really enjoying the game!! 😄

Xbox One - 

Building from either the workbench or straight from inventory the action of simply clicking construct for a grass wall locks up the game requiring a restart.
