I just started Peril on Gorgon and have run into a bug that is preventing me from progressing with the story. In Lucky's room, the safe is empty and the waypoint is stuck on the safe. The safe was empty when I first opened it and I am sure that there is meant to be something in there I need to continue. I have tried reloading a few different save files but all of them are stuck. 

I obtained the code to unlock the safe from Lucky's journal, but am having the same problem. I can see "unlock with code", but nothing is happening and the waypoint is still stuck on the safe. I've submitted a support ticket to Private Division, and have verified the game cache via the Epic games launcher.

Private Division tech support are looking into it. I'll update this thread when I know more.

Edit: The zip file I sent to Private Division didn't make it past their spam filters. Sent again at their request, but if tech support operate like this there doesn't seem to be much hope of a quick solution or fix.

If you are using the cheat happens trainer it will can cause the Lucky's Safe not to open right.  Disable the trainer before you open the safe.

I am having this same issue. I do not have any cheats on. I also Uninstaller the game and reinstalled it. Still the same issue?
