Tiny_Montana Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) As the title states, I am no longer gaining any XP in the DLC once I completed A Clockwork Mock Apple. I got quite a bit further into the game before I realized this was happening. Once I did, I loaded an older save and played through again in the hopes that I would not experience the same thing again. But I was paying attention to the XP, and noticed as soon as I talked to the Dr and leveled up to lvl 33, that I was no longer gaining XP for any actions. Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? This is the very first bug I have encountered in this otherwise excellent game. I run it on Windows 10 ver. 2004, 2 x RTX 2080s, 32 GB DDR4 3733 MHz, Ryzen 9 3900X. Everything up to date. I am playing the EGS version. I have verified 2 times to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edited September 13, 2020 by Tiny_Montana
AngryBuddha92 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Seconded. Exact same thing has happened to me (UK, PS4, 1080p, fully updated). XP stuck at 71815 on level 33, no XP action will reward it. Tried reloading earlier saves, still happened. Bit irritating but still going to finish DLC as I'm enjoying the setting. Any workarounds or fixes would be appreciated. Thanks. 1

I want to keep playing as well, but I read that one needs 150 Persuasion in order to get the happy ending. I also am striving for other skill rewards. So I will not play again until its fixed.
Tiny_Montana Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) I have confirmed that in my case, the bug occurs at anytime one levels up to 33. I went to the OOPS and leveled there, and I also changed quests and one of my companions, only to experience the no XP bug as soon as I leveled. Casey28xxx Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Ain't a bug, DLC raised the level cap to 33. 1
AngryBuddha92 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Yeah, same place, i.e Gorgon. Went back and tried completing quests in different order but it still got stuck on level 33. Haven't yet tried levelling up anywhere else so can't confirm that on my platform. Can't seem to do anything about it whilst on Gorgon so just going to hope for a fix in a future update.

But if that is the case, why would the level status bar be partially filled with XP carried over from the last XP award? this would indicate that further leveling was possible.

I was just reading that the cap was raised to 33. But I had points left over from the last XP award. My XP status bar is partially filled, indicating further leveling is possible.
AngryBuddha92 Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Now I feel like an idiot. I assumed the level cap would be increased to something like 35. Bit of a strange choice to have the XP bar stop part-way. Maybe a minor in-game notification might've been helpful.
Tiny_Montana Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Yup, a whole lot of foolish is what I am... lol! I have to agree though, 33 is a very odd number. And a partially filled XP bar is really kind of shoddy. A notification would have indeed been appreciated. Overall though, a minor blemish on an amazing game!
