I just placed a new trail marker and now I can't see any other trail markers in the game.

Did I accidentally change a setting or is this a known bug?

Tried restarting the game and it didn't help.

Did you report this?  What happens when you press U ingame to toggle the markers?

Also you should post this in Technical Support
