Hard difficulty gets too easy after level 2 and when I start getting companions it is simply no challenge.  I don't want to play Supernova because of the extra rules I don't feel are fun, but would like the difficulty of the enemies to scale better as I level up and play with companions.

Obsidian needs to tweak the formula somehow, because combat is just plain boring after the first few levels.
