I've tried: Saying I'll help on the ship. Saying I don't have time on the ship. Ignoring him, adding to party for Scylla, and telling him I'll help outside. I can't find a way of accepting the quest without it immediately failing.

October 30, 20196 yr Same here. I’m able to progress through the quest a bit, even though it shows up as botched, up until i need to speak to Clyde again. Didn’t kill or even talk to any of the associated NPCs before the quest came up so I don’t know why it automatically failed.
