Can't import PoE 1 saves into PoE 2 cause PoE 2 doesn't detect them

PoE 1 is installed and working, saved game files are in default folder: C:\Users\MyName\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity (there's a "2.0 Save Games Backup" folder inside as well). The PoE 1 saves can be loaded within PoE 1 without issues.

However, when in PoE 2 I get to the intro part where you're offered to import a PoE 1 save, PoE 2 just doesn't detect any saves and I can't select anything.

How do I solve this?

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
