Game breaking freeze

The game freezes after a couple minutes of play, or even less sometimes
I made it perfectly fine through the first planet of the game, but as soon as I set my foot on the space station the game just keeps freezing

Not only does the game freeze, but my entire computer

I had the task manager up on my second screen, and nothing was out of the ordinary

Intel core i7
16 gig ram
GeForce Gtx 970 Ti
