After playing for a couple of hours, I noticed that when pressing Quick Save or even when an auto-save would happen, I would instead get a message that the game failed to save. (SAVE UNSUCCESSFUL).

I found that my last working save was a long while earlier, setting my gameplay back, so I was then fed up and just quit.

I then went to the folder where the saves are stored, only to find that several of the folders give errors and permission messages when trying to open them. I then tried to set the permissions on the folder only to find that I could not set the permissions to full control for myself, users, etc. I was shown as the owner of the folder, but this was the error when trying to open the folders:
