Black Screen on loading save

Recently reinstalled POE and it worked fine for awhile. Now whenever I try to load a game the screen goes black with just the gauntlet mouse icon. If I try to start a new game, it goes into the starting loading screen and then kicks me back to the main menu. Any solutions to this?
Win 10, Geoforce  gtx 1070
