I just purchased Pillars of Eternity, and whenever i have tried to run the game it crashes on startup, and i get the following text:

Switching to resolution 3x0 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 3x0 failed, trying lower one
All resolution switches have failed
Screen: could not switch resolution (1920x1080 fs=1 hz=0)

Can anyone please help me find a solution? Otherwise I'm going to have to get a refund on steam cos no way am I keeping a broken game in the hope it magically fixes itself in some future update.

Just as the screen goes black starting the game and before the game crashes try pressing ALT + ENTER and that *may* force windowed mode resolving the full screen resolution problem.
