[possible bug] Pet bonus applying in inventory?

So I've equipped the -recovery doggo, and I have the +hp/kill doggo in my inventory (not stash). I seem to be getting the healing bonus from the doggo in inventory as well as the pet wide effect from the equipped doggo. Just tried equipping the dex piggie too and I seem to be getting all pet effects? I'm guessing this is a bug?
