I have a technical problem with quest: Eder's Personal Quest: The Path of Light

The fact is that it is given at the very beginning of the game, but for some reason I did not have a dialogue with Eder, and accordingly the quest was not taken - a second visit of the same place to pilgrims did not lead to anything - if any opportunity to take his quest to the middle of the game?
