Can't recruit Aloth to the team

Hi,

I recently gained new chars for my team and sent Aloth back to ship, but right now he is not there and I can't recruit him back to the team. Possible fix?

it's not just Aloth, i can't swap any of my companions, i can remove the ones i'm with, but i can't get the other to swap with them. and i do'nt know how to upload my saved games here.
