  1. I think I have been patient in waiting for the patch but it is VERY obvious that OE AND LA don't give two sh1ts, so, enough is enough. I've uninstalled KotORII and it's going to the trade-in bin. What does this mean? I will NEVER buy ANY product from either Obsidian Entertainment OR LucasArts EVER again. That includes the much anticipated NwN2. These guys (at OE) used to be 'good' developers but now it seems they are the cancerous castoffs from a forgotten era. There are MANY more companies out there that will certainly earn my money more then this blatant money grub. So, your silence has spoken in roars. You simply don't care about us (the customer) or your half-assed product. So long Interplay, err, I mean Obsidian.
  2. I couldn't agree more. I refuse to give any more $$ to George Lucas' substandard products. As for Obsidian, I will NEVER blindly buy their products again. I was a huge fan of KotOR 1 so I blindly bought the sequel. I'm also a huge fan of NwN (have all the addons including the Premium mods) but I will NOT blindly buy NwN2 because I don't trust them to put out the quality product I would've expected. I will wait to find out if it's worth the money first. Of course, all of this can be rectified by both companies by having them fix their existing products to a standard that is expected by their consumers.
  3. You know, I'm sick of people saying blame LA and not OE. They are both at fault and as long as the Update button on the game launcher comes to swpatch.obsidianent.com I will continue to look at Obsidian for the update. If they don't want to take responsibility then they should come out with a patch that changes the update server. Until that happens, I will continue to come HERE for the patch. As for the 'great' reviews, every time I see them I can't help but wonder if they actually FINISHED the game before writing it. Let's face it, bugs aside (every new game has them), it was an engrossing and emersive game until the ending. So, OE, fix the bugs because it is your obligation to your consumers and fix the ending if you expect us to continue to trust in your company's products.
  4. Like I said in another thread, they can take ALL the time they need as long as we get a good patch. It's nice enough knowing that there is one coming. Of course, it would be better if they fixed the ending as well so take ALL the time you need.
  5. Frankly, they can take all the time they need. I would rather wait and get a patch that fixes all the problems then get a quick fix now. I am just glad to know that there will be a patch.
  6. This is in reference to the PC version of the game (as it 'looks' like the Xbox doesn't suffer from these same issues). 1. Experienced a couple of crashes but I can't tell you what the cause was. 2. Major framerate problems in certain maps (Dantooine) but to 'fix' that I just change the Texture pack from High clicked OK then back up to High and went back into the game and it was no longer 'stuttery'. 3. The voice-overs did not match the subtitles in a few locations. 4. The 'G0T0' droid referred to Revan as 'him' when it was established earlier that it was a her. This also happened somewhere else just before you get the droid onto the Ebon Hawk. 5. The conversations would occasionally react as if I was 'clicking through' them so that they would flash through making it impossible to read. I had to actually exit out of the game completely and then reload to fix this one. Not bugs but needed to be mentioned. 1. Several times I found myself saying, "what the hell is going on now?" because the story didn't describe it well enough. For instance, I have my save on Malachor V which it titled "Where the hell..." because I had NO idea where I was. 2. A few 'quests' seemed to be 'missing'. For example, the whole unlocking the Navicomputer. It was mentioned that it was voice locked (assumably by Revan) and that HK-47 could mimic voices (to presumably 'unlock' it) but that never happened. 3. I was really hoping that it wasn't going to be a HL2 ending but, alas, I was disappointed. All in all, it was a fun game but it didn't have the 'depth' that the first one did. I will likely play again as Dark Side because the game 'seemed' focused on that happening (based on the lack of actual Light Side replies in the conversations) but I doubt I'll match the 7 times I played the original.
