  1. No it's not. There are many games where I can run the card at full freq without problems. But with some titles there are problems. It is not a heat problem - i have been checking this. Logging the temp of the card. Everything is fine even in the last moment before the crash - no raising temps. So the card ist not faulty and also not overheating. Bye Oliver
  2. Hello there! It seems that my Radeon 9600XT card could have some problems with it's voltage regulator. I experienced the "colorful vertical lines" aka "multi-colored vertical lines" problem with complete crash in numerous titles like KOTOR1&2, Jedi Knight II&III, C&C Generals and so on... Tried everything and always thought it was a driver problem. Now I am using ATI TRAY TOOL with the most recent Omega Drivers to clock down my card by 20 perecnt (now 400/240 mhz). This solved ALL of my problems. The titles quoted above work like hell. I player KOTOR1 for hours yesterday without a single crash. I can reproduce the problem: as soon as i run memory und gpu with the normal frequencies, the crashes re-occur. Even with the 20 percent clock down the game runs fast enough on my P4 3.0Ghz. Maybe this helps someone. I am happy now - both KOTOR titles are working again!!! (w00t) Bye locutus
  3. Some hints: P4 3Ghz ; 1 GB RAM ; Radeon 9600XT ; 1280x1024 First of all the game is installed in a separate Windows XP installation which i use strictly for gaming. No other tasks, no office works. This guarantees a clean system. After having immediate crashes with actual drivers i used catalyst 4.11 which made the game run very smooth. Played through in this configuration without issues - only once i encountered the 1/3 loading bug. That's all. No crashes but all the bugs of the plot line, dialog options not changing, crew member missing and so on... The game is very playable on my system concerning the technical side. Although every system is different i believe many users encounter problems because of overloaded windows installations and using recent driver versions. For me only 4.11 is working correctly - at the moment. Hope this helps just a little bit. Good luck! Bye locutus
  4. Hello again tnt32! Why do we do have exactly the same problems? It can't be our configuration, that ist totally different. I also got this bug concerning T3-M4. And i am also missing another crew member. Still no solution for the problem on the ebon hawk, too. Frustrating. Bye Oli
  5. Same in my game. My party member says that he is there but he isn't. I advise you to restart the game until you really find the droid. Although i myself didn't manage to find him yet i can just tell you that you'll need him for other quests on other planets later on in the game. At the moment i am missing more than T3-M4 - i am also missing another character that should have joined my party. And although the game itself with cutscenes and so on says that this character joined my party he/she just isn't there! So at the moment there are 2 party members missing which makes it rather difficult to complete a lot of quests. That's crap! Bye Oli
