  1. I am attaching the output log text. CantEDIT: put in spoiler tags to cut down on the size. Thanks for including the info, winterglaive!
  2. Continued from this thread: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72044-game-freezes-whole-system-after-clicking-on-new-game/?hl=winterglaive&do=findComment&comment=1601545 I've been hoping patches would take care of the issue, but they haven't. After clicking New Game, and moving to the loading screen, the entire PC locks up. I can't click anything, alt-tab, go to task manager--nothing. I have to do a hard reset, and I'm pretty sure that's not very healthy to keep doing over and over. I have tried lower resolution in windowed mode and running the game as admin. I tried the workaround regarding the font (which is not even on my system in the first place. Steam does not appear to be generating any error logs--probably because the whole PC crashes, not just Steam or PoE. windows 7 64-bit intel i7 860 @ 2.8 8gb RAM GeForce GTX 460 Please help.
  3. I ran the cmd prompt. However, there is no font file called "UNCL" in the windows font directory.
  4. I can navigate the title menu, make changes in options that are saved, view credits, etc. Once I click on New Game, the Loading screen comes up, and then either freezes on that screen or goes completely black. I cannot alt-tab out of it. I switched to windowed mode, alt-tabbed out before the loading screen froze, and let the game run. The freeze still locks up my entire system. I've attempted this three times with slightly different graphics options changes (first switched to windowed mode, then lowered the resolution) with the same result. windows 7 64-bit intel i7 860 @ 2.8 8gb RAM GeForce GTX 460
