This thread was brought to my attention in the GameSpot forums. I'm the author of the review in question. I just want to acknowledge that I've amended the specific point referenced by this thread, which occurred in the review's second paragraph. For what it's worth, though, the distinction that the player is purposely kept unaware of the character's past, but the character him- or herself is supposedly aware of his or her past, went over my head during the course of the the dozens of hours I spent playing the game. Otherwise, I wouldn't have made a statement that was factually inaccurate. So I regret the error.
