  1. You placed three cores. Did a cutscene occur showing the fourth one exploding prematurely?

If it didn't, I hoped you saved your game so that you can start from a point close to where you are now. There is a fifth core that you need to grab to replace the one you lost. Look in the missile bay control room.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you for replying 'PurgedJedi'

The cutscene occured and I had found the fifth core, but for some reason the cutscene in the last bomb site didn't show up.

I had to load a previous savegame, starting over in the royal palace again, before I could continue on. Maybe it was just a one-time glitch

    Hey, No Problem....

Good Luck with Nihilus and MTFBWY.

  2. Heey, first of all I want to say that I'm new here and I have enjoyed playing the KOTOR games :)

But I've got a major problem that doesn't allow me to complete KOTOR2. I've found the fourth proton core but I'm not able to place it at the fourth bomb site. When I walk in the damaged room nothing happens, I can only walk around in it :ermm: I was able to plant the first three, but I'm stuck with the last one. Please help, I really want to complete the game!

  3. I am having multiple video problems while trying to play this game with my NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (512 mb) video card.

When i run the test to see if my computer meets the standards to play this game (which there is no doubt in my mind that is should) everything checks out... except my video card... which is strange to me considering its nearly top of the line.. nearly...

    it displays somethin like this

Video (yellow circle) Warning NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512mb

Graphics Recommended: ATI Radeon 9200 or better,

NVidia GeForce4 Ti or better (128 MB Vram)

which just seems a bit odd to me because a yellow circle means my video card does not meat the recommended standards... which are much lower than my video cards specs.

And now i have gotten to the part Korriban (forget the name of the planet.. the sith planet) where you venture into the place where Malak had originally recruited you... after wondering around in there for a minute or so my computer freezes up, The screen stuck with one picture and the sound playing the sam sound bite over and over and i am forced to facilitate a forced shut down of my computer.

Sorry if this isnt the tech forums but wasnt exactly sure where to post about it and wasnt exactly inclined to go searching all over the internet to find such a place.

If it really is the video card causing the issue,

When was the last time you upgraded your NVidia drivers?

Also, you might want to upgrade your DirectX files also.

It can also be your sound card. Believe it or not, those can stop a game from running also. Driver updates......

If this still fails, I suggest running the game in a earlier compatibility mode(Im assuming youre running Windows Vista or 7).

    Hope this helps.

  4. I am on Onderon and am doing the quest to get that Doc out of being murder suspect. I went to cantina area and found broken droid outside, was told that there is a droid in western market area that sells stolen items and may have the head of broken droid. I cant find the droid in the western market area. Any help appreciated :ermm:

P.S. I have HK-47 in my party and found another HK-47 in western market area... Encountered a glitch that if I have HK-47 in party when I encounter the HK-50's, 47 leaves party every time it happens...

Youre referring to 1B-8D, the droid merchant. Im going to assume you purchased the HK Droid Processor from him. Anyway, ask the merchant about the serving droid and he will sell you the parts he has(including the head) for 25 credits. It's a STEAL!

As far as the glitch, Im not sure because by the time I usually go to Onderon, I have Visas and Kreia with me and with three lightsabers flashing, everything pretty much falls around you. :)

    Hope this helps.

  5. I hear ya. But I would rather have them take the time to make a kotor 3, and release it in 2012/20013. Late 2012 at the least. Around the time the mayans predicted the end ^^

I don't want TOR. I'm not the biggest MMORPG fan. They are fun, but I'd prefer a Kotor 3...

Is it really fair for you to judge TOR just because it is a MMORPG? Personally, I think this game is going to reinvent the genre. Im just trying to imagine the space on your HDD that is going to be required(all those voice overs for every single NPC you meet.)

    10 GB installation, anyone?

On the KOTOR 3 discussion, it's not going to happen. TBH, I've gotten tired of playing Star Wars by myself and have played Galaxies(back when it was worth playing), so I know the experience that can be had on a SW themed MMORPG.

  6. Glad to hear it. How'd you find out how to fix it? I did some googling and came up with nothing. Trial and error?

    Sorta.

I was curious why KOTOR 1 was working and not KOTOR 2.

I opened up both inis and compared the differences.

Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 was in the swkotor1.ini so I copied that to the KOTOR2 ini and it worked.

Googled this entry afterward and found some threads with people having problems in KOTOR1 that were similar to mine and people suggesting adding this line.

I guess Steam automatically included the fix in their copy of the game since so many of their users have ATI cards.

Yet another reason why everyone should switch over to NVidia. Just saying.
