Thank you for your prompt response. I ensured that all language/country settings were set to English/US (they were originally) and reinstalled Visual Studio through the DSIII demo directory. Alas, I still receive full system lockup upon clicking any button on the game menu. I did find one thing interesting: after verifying the game's integrity through the game's "Properties" menu on Steam, 1 file would fail and steam would redownload. After steam had downloaded the file, I would retest the game's integrity and, again, it would fail. Could this be the issue?

I've tested this on two operating systems (same comp): XP and Windows 7. When clicking, "New Game," there is a graphical lockup/system freeze with no ability to alt-tab, ctrl+alt+f, etc. The screen freezes with pixelated, random colors. I tried this on a PC with XP installed, then swapped hardrives with reinstalled drivers, etc. on Windows 7 and had the same problem. All drivers are up to date. Computer Specs: Asus Crosshair, Socket AM2 Mobo AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (2.6 ghz) GeForce 9800 GTX+ (512MB) 4 gigs of DDR2 Crucial Ballistix RAM (PC2 6400) Any help would be appreciated!
