    Have to wait for a patch. I have tried all dialogue options now including science 9 and observation 9. It's just broken. Recommend submitting a ticket like I did here: The Outer Worlds 2 | Issue Tracker

    I am playing on PC via Xbox GamePass and I also had the professor background and am completely stuck. Just like the OP I only have the "Think I will slink away option." Seems like a bug that needs fixing in the next patch, guess I will do other quests until this is patched. Made an Obsidian account just to comment on this btw haha.
