I feel the same way, it is the only bug in the game that I have to basically run from because I’m so scared. I blindly ran through some of the later parts (where you absolutely have to kill more to progress) and it’s been hell. Ironically enough, the first game I never finished because of the spiders but this game has more of them and I’m over that
